Halloween deer makeup

Halloween deer makeup

Happy Halloween!

who has been loving Lauren Conrads “party animal” costume theme!🙋🏻 we have!!!

So after feeling inspired by her fabulous taste I decided to take a shot at it! Guys it’s so easy and a great last minute costume for anyone wanting to look cute and classy! Thing is aside from false lashes you probably already have everything in your makeup bag!!!

Here is a step by step guide to animal makeup:)

Please excuse the amateur photography and the horrible lighting!

  1. Start with a clean face and with your LIGHTEST concealer cover your eyes into the corners on the side of your nose. People it doesn’t have to be clean Mine was super messy!

image\

2. FILL THOSE BROWS! Use a dark brown shadow and start at the bottom of your brow and draw a straight line to the edge, Then fill those babies in. They will look AMAZING and full and to be honest I’m thinking about doing this on the reg. *to much?… Also take that brown shadow and and blending brush and apply to the side of nose between the water duct and nose. *as seen in picture above.

image

This is what you should look like thus far. Check out those brows. They don’t have to be perfect people… Just big. I promise this will work

image

3. I did two steps in this picture. I applied a black gel liner along the lash line and pulled it out to create a cat eye on BOTH ends of the eye. Pulling past your water duct towards your nose. Also I applied that same light concealer in BULK to the bridge of her nose, cheecks, cupids bow, chin, and forehead

image

4. I blended all that concealer in and applied False Lashes. For this look the bigger the better:)

image

5. Get real with the bronzer people. You know in contoring how they talk about blending blending blending… DON”t you want a definite line wear bronzer and concealer meet. Also if you don’t have a bronzer you can use your brown shadow or even a darker foundation for this. Start with the hollow of the cheek (If you smile its the area below the apple of your cheeck to your outer jaw line) and Then take it to the temple and center of forehead! Get real with it people…. Don’t be scared, but also remember you can always add more!

image

6. Now Time to contour the nose. Take the brown shadow/bronzer/whatever your using and take it from the inner corner of your eye between your nose all the way down to the edge of your nose on both side. Still leaving a definite line of demarcation

image

7. Starting to look adorable righttttt….. So now your gonna take a black pencil/gel liner and rub it underneath the bottom side of your nose. After its nice and black draw a straight line through your cupids bow to your lip

image

8. Now fill in that upper lip with the black liner, and rub that concealer over your bottom lip

image

Gorgeous am I right!!!

image

9. Take your Concealer and with a small brush put 4-5 dots on your cheeks and forehead… Also side note I put a Highlighter all over all of the “Lighter parts of the face” just to give it that extra… shimma

10. Have the best Cutest Halloween makeup at the partay people!!!

PS. Thanks to my cutie friend and bud from Willow Floral Boutique for being a gorgeous model!!

Hot rolled hair

Seriously I know… When we think of hot rollers we think of Kimmy Gibler and bad 90s prom hair. But hot rollers if used correctly and give you amazing volume, luscious curls, and tame that frizz with basically little to no effort!

A couple of tips before I show you how

  1. Use 3/4 to 1 inch rollers this will help you get more body and wave than tight ringlets
  2. let them cool…. When you think they might be cool let them cool more
  3. hairspray those bad boys… It won’t hurt I promise
  4. don’t give up… If at first you don’t succeed try try again.. It’s worth it I promise 😘😘😘

Kelly Bridal Portraits

So if you know me you know to things… I love braids! Not a normal kind of love, like a I wear them everyday sleep in them kind of love. For a couple of really good reasons.. 1. they are extremely versatile, no two braids ever look the same 2. I love that they are imperfect, that they fall and move and they look so “organic” if you will.

If you know me you also know that I am obsessed with flower crown. I truly never grow tired of them, I love them in every shape and form and if I could drape myself in flowers and walk around I would…..

So that being said, these are some of my favorites. …. Hope you guys enjoy these photos from the amazing Lacross Photography, Flower crown compliments of Willow Floral Boutique, Venue Loray Mill Events and Hair and Makeup by, us:)

What’s in our kit….

Hello ladies💋

We get asked a lot what kind of makeup we keep in our kit. The answer…. A freakin lot. One of the best things about owning a hair and makeup company is that it’s definitely a necessity to “invest” in all the latest and greatest products right???😳 Thats what I tell myself at least after a mega purchase from Mac or sephora. But the fact of the matter is we have a lot of makeup. I’m not talking a caboodle full☺️ I’m talking cases full. So do we need that much? No. Do we have that much? Yes. Will we still buy more? Absolutely!!! Here are a couple of our fall favorites!image

  1. Tartlette palette: I LOVE this pallette for fall. I know its nothing new but just those warm, matte, luscious colors make me soo happy! If your looking for some definition without shimmer this is it. You can find it at sephora here
  2. Mac Strobe Cream: YALLLLLL I LURVEEEE this moisturizer. Strobing, we’ve all heard about it, we’ve probably all watched tutorials on it. Basically its highlighting without the contouring. THIS moisturizer is so great, it highlights and gives you that extra umph of dimension before or after applying your foundation ( umph, I like that) find it here at Nordi’s with free shipping
  3. Milani Bronzer: Haters gonna hate, but this is the best bronzer under $10 out there. Seriously… if you don’t have it, get it. Especially as now its October and we all know that we’re gonna need a little bronze in our life. You can find it at your local CVS or Walgreens but if your looking online you can order it here
  4. Anastasia Brow kit: This is hands down my favorite brow kit. It matches EVERYONE, isn’t to heavy because its powder and has a killer brush included. Order here at Sephora
  5. Marc Jacobs Lip gloss: enough said. Marc Jacobs. get it. Here
  6. Kat Von D Liquid liner: This is my new favesies! I happened to pick this up when I walked into sephora and said, “Give me your best liner.. Bring it” They handed me this and I’ve never looked back! Hands down, the best liquid liner I’ve used.

For all my product loving junkie sista’s ya’ll let me know if you have any recommendations to other things we need!

Happy Fall ya’ll

Big beautiful braids💁🏻

Happy FriYAY ladies😘😘

I am especially excited about this weekend off and headed to go on our annual apple picking family trip up to sky top orchards! This is seriously my favorite time of year😄 I wanted to start the weekend off with a different blog post…. A tutorial video. For those of you who have been beautified our team you know we are huge braid enthusiasts, and to be honest I get asked by at least on person at every wedding how we do it. Sooooooo here it is, a terribly amateur video with me showing you how we do our braids. I didn’t talk during purely because I hate the sound of my voice and I feel like I learn better by watching than by listening, so just a couple tips when you try this yourself.

  1. Perfection is not necessary. When you grab hair to add into a section don’t worry about clean lines.
  2. If you have layers they will more than likely come apart when you pull the braid. No worries this is why we love bobby pins and the more you pull the layers will be pulled into the braid again
  3. Don’t be scared to pull that puppy apart. Seriously. Get after it. I pull mine apart and then apart some more. The bigger the braid the better!
  4. Don’t get discouraged. For some reason braiding is one of those things that just eventually clicks. It’s movement memory where eventually your hands will just get it😁

hope you ladies have an awesome weekend!!
